Hello, I'm Paul

Paul Houlsen
Thank you for visiting the site. I have spent a lifetime providing security on multiple continents, in numerous countries, and at countless events. When all of the professional polish is removed, you will find Emma’s son; a son who is also a father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin, nephew, and friend.
My entire family is very active in church and spends significant time in various houses of worship at every imaginable event. In addition, they are often attending local, regional and national religious conferences. In conversations with my mother and sister, they told me of several safety incidents that had occurred at events they had attended. One such incident occurred at our church. An unidentified male was able to enter the pulpit during service and attempted to engage the pastor in conversation.
The incident ended without serious disruption but it caused me concern. I began to research church violence. Of course, major violent acts like the ones that occurred in Texas and South Carolina are covered but many other violent and dangerous situations are posing serious threats to congregations.
For the safety of my mother, children, grandchildren, sisters, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, aunt and other loved ones who attend church and you reading this information, PH Congregation Protection was formed.
I look forward to meeting you and making your environment safer.

Unlike cities, schools and other organizations, churches are not required to participate in Uniform Crime Reporting. Therefore only major incidents that required police intervention are ever publicized but in reality, genuine and potentially dangerous situations are regularly occurring in churches across the country.

Tactical Courses
PH Congregation Protection does not consider the pros and cons of any Faithful believers. Like-minded believers must be able to gather and worship without fearing or being victimized by someone experiencing personal or psychological issues.
There is no reasonable method to determine the possibility or probability of an incident occurring in your church; but likewise, there is also no logical method of ensuring an incident will not occur. We believe in prevention through planning and if required, resolve through preparation.
Our tactical courses are designed to bridge the gap between the range and reality.
