The fulfillment of “duty to care” is a church responsibility and must not be overlooked because the consequences are hazardous.

PH Congregation Protection Concepts is not theological and does not consider the pros and cons of Christian and non-Christian believers. All Places of Worship are where congregations of like-minded believers gather to become closer to their God or Deity and we believe this should be done without global society issue intrusions.

Of course, religious congregations are comprised of global, national and local community members and therefore associated intrusions must be anticipated. The word combination “societal intrusion” is used as a descriptive precursor for disruptive or violent behavior or situations. A societal intrusion is a prevailing social issue that enters the church and later manifests itself as a disruptive or violent condition.

The PH Congregation Protection curriculum is designed with four primary and two supporting topics. The four primary subjects are:

  • Threatening Situations Endangering Congregations
  • Establishing a Congregational Protection Network
  • Establishing a Congregational Protection Team
  • Congregation Protection Team Tactical Consideration and Resolutions

Topics are modular in design but any topics can be a stand-alone presentation. The primary topics are logically arranged to determine, identify, manage and resolve social intrusion manifestations that have historically and are currently causing psychological and physical congregational disruptions.

Personal Protection for Church Officials and Foreign Mission Travel and Security are supporting topics. Personal protection is designed to shield church officials from targeted harassment or violence but equally important is the ability to prevent inconveniences for church officials as they travel to conduct business at various venues throughout their city, county or the world.

Foreign and domestic mission work is an essential part of spreading religious news and providing services. As missionaries travel the world visiting various environments, it is important for them to recognize how to maintain their own safety. The fulfillment of “duty to care” is a church responsibility and must not be overlooked because the consequences are hazardous.

PH Congregation Protection Concepts understands the mission of the church and do not believe creating an armed force resembling and reacting like a police department is the best option. We advocate “Prevent through planning and if required, resolve through preparation”.

Our single-minded focus is to be a brother’s keeper and ensure the church remains a house of hope and safety. This is our charge to keep.
